Al Sharpton, from many people’s perspectives, is an arrogant, ignorant fool who craves media attention – even negative attention – and has taken advantage of and ridden the wave of silly Political Correctness in two ways. Thanks to Political Correctness, one might get the impression that (1) Black people can get away with saying foolish and ridiculous nonsense, no matter how absurd, and the media won’t call them on it solely because their skin is black. (2) All minorities have permission to be ignorant, belligerent and racist when speaking in a public forum and those who subscribe to Political Correctness (including the media) will say nothing, pretend to take these “spokesmen” and “spokeswomen” seriously, nod their heads and smile and never bring it up again, even in private. You see, Political Correctness (PC) lacks any semblance of accountability, shows extreme favoritism toward blacks and Hispanics (and Democrats and atheists and gays), shows blatant and obvious unfairness, bias and bigotry against white people, Jews, Christians, conservatives and anyone who advocates publicly for personal responsibility and/or good morals or ethics, commonly  ignores the truth completely and supports lies and liars when the lies are generated by either black, liberal, Democrat, atheist, gay or Hispanic people. The truth is so horribly misrepresented by the Politically Correct left on such a regular basis that most normal American people now consider the mainstream media completely unreliable, intentionally misleading and no longer a trusted source for information about anything.

Al Sharpton is a perfect example. The man is a racist ambulance chaser who, for someone who is obviously very ignorant and consistently biased against conservatives, white people, Christians and Jews, gets more airtime than virtually every conservative, white person, Christian or Jew. Jesse Jackson enjoyed the same favor for years thanks to Political Correctness, until he fell out of favor with the media due to his infidelity and children born out of wedlock.  Well, not so much due to his infidelity and children born out of wedlock, but more specifically due to those things becoming known. That is, Jesse got caught, and that was the cause of his downfall and fall from grace.

You see, the correct answer to Geraldo Rivera’s question tonight was this: Collectively speaking, black fathers have historically had a higher incidence of abandoning their children than white fathers. When little girls grow up without a father in the home, they almost inevitably become promiscuous in their early teens, trying to fill the hole in their heart that has “Daddy” written on it. Because black men seem to have the highest rate of caually impregnating their girlfriends and then abandoning them, their children naturally have the highest rate of teen pregnancy due to the emotional problems commonly caused by Dad’s abandonment coupled with their seeking love in all the wrong the places, thinking some other boy/man can fill that place in their heart that only Daddy can fill. Thus, the cycle is repeated generation after generation.

Al Sharpton doesn’t have the courage to tell the truth about this issue, which is why he blamed it on “infrastructure” when speaking to Geraldo Rivera. Subscribing to Political Correctness has apparently rendered Al incapable of rigorous honesty. Al could not bring himself to tell the truth about men in the black community, and so chose to be vague about this issue. Those on the left who subscribe to Political Correctness seem to have no real affinity for the truth, nor do they feel obligated to tell the truth. To the left, the end justifies the means, and so lying is commonplace. That the left owns the majority of the mainstream media is what is at the root of the death of real journalism: Political Correctness has killed journalism in America.

A product of a broken home himself, Mr. Sharpton doesn’t appear to have done the personal emotional work necessary to facilitate true emotional and psychological recovery from his own childhood abandonment issues. Instead, he continues to exacerbate this issue by choosing not to be frank about it, like he did tonight while being interviewed by Geraldo Rivera. Another clue which brought me to publicly express my suspicion that Al is the product of a broken home (before I googled “Al Sharpton’s parents” and found that I am indeed correct, that is) is that those who are abandoned by their fathers typically become very, very needy of attention. Not having a doting father around to encourage and support and pour love into a little boy or girl’s heart leaves a gaping, empty hole in the child’s heart. Attention-getting behavior, promiscuouity, acting out sexually or otherwise, rebelliousness, criminal and even negative attention-getting behavior are all common to children who have been abandoned by their fathers. Al exhibits virtually all of those symptoms, and yet he continues to be sought out to speak on behalf of the black community.

When a child grows up but does not endeavor to work through the emotional issues caused by abandonment and/or parental neglect or abuse, the result is people like Al Sharpton, who isn’t even embarassed to stand before a camera with a national audience and arrogantly lie, speaking boldly about issues about which he really is totally clueless. Tonight Sharpton actually explained to us all that the reason that minority teen pregnancies are almost 300% higher than white teen pregnancies was “…not having the right kind of infrastructure…” Yes, that’s what Al said. I have to wonder what kind of “infrastructure” Al was referring to, because the reason for such a disparity in teen pregnancies is due to a lack of relationship with Dad. That’s all it is.

The reason black and Hispanic children have nearly a 300% higher rate of teen pregnancy than white children is because of a higher rate of fathers abandoning their children and/or their pregnant girlfriends. It’s not about “infrastructure”. It’s about relationships, Al.

The media will call me “racist” and will deny that what I’ve said is true, but you and I both know that what I’ve said is true. I don’t care about what the media says, nor do I care what people who subscribe to Political Correctness think about my columns. Those people need serious emotional, psychological and Spiritual help which they aren’t willing to seek. I can’t help them anymore than I can help Al Sharpton. No one can help someone who isn’t willing to accept help.

So we pray for them and wait for them to ask for help. Until then, the media and clowns and fools the media chooses to fill air time with will continue to look America in the face and lie about virtually everything. Their collective and individual Denial rendering them incapable of honest personal inventory, they will remain both deceived and dishonest until such time as they seek help for their own personal emotional problems.

And I will continue to ignore ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN and MSNBC who are the bastions of Political Correctness, propaganda and dishonesty in journalism. If you ever wondered why such an obvious clown and buffoon such as Al Sharpton continue to get so much airtime regarding issues about which they clearly know absolutely nothing, now you know.

Allowing dysfunctional people who appear to be suffering from lifelong emotional problems, as well as anger and racist issues, to speak publicly on behalf of millions of black people on national television is a travesty. That Rivera even sought this man out in order to use him in his little circus tonight says volumes about the lack of integrity under which Geraldo Rivera conducts himself. That Fox News allows Rivera to use such an obviously affected man who has never made much of an attempt to walk closely to the truth is a disappointment to me. It shows a lack of integrity on the part of Fox News, Geraldo Rivera, and the star supposed “expert” of Rivera’s segment tonight, Al Sharpton.

The media continues to lower the bar daily, showing a complete lack of integrity and instead proving again that the media can no longer be entrusted with the responsibility of keeping we, the people informed about anything. Using Al Sharpton to misrepresent such an important social issue as teen pregnancy is proof of that. The media simply isn’t in the news business any longer. As far as entertainment is concerned, it is failing in that arena, as well.

The title of this column should have read “Al Sharpton: Pathetic, Needy and Dishonest” because that’s what he is.

Many parents, it seems, simply no longer have time to devote to really discerning who each child really is, how sensitive or overly sensitive they might be emotionally, what talents they might have which could – and should – be nurtured, what needs and/or challenges they have for closeness or intimacy which may not be being met on a given day. Our own careers, our want for recreation (drinking with friends – call it “a barbecue” or “visiting” or whatever you want, when alcohol is always involved, it’s really about medicating with friends), and our own self-centeredness robs us of important time and energy which might have been devoted to learning more about who our children actually are, and what their actual needs might be, so that that our children could grow into healthy adults and the multi-generational cycle of abuse and neglect might be broken.

I see the results of unhealthy upbringings every day where I work. Sweet and wonderful men who didn’t have the benefit of having had parents who truly took an interest in who their child was because they were too busy trying to get their own still unidentified needs met, who didn’t really care so much about what their child’s individual needs or sensitivities might be – who their child really is – but really just wanted their child not to be a pain in their behind and did their best to force their child to be obedient, to control their child, and to get their kids to submit to their (parents’) will. Children were perceived largely, if you will, as problems much of the time, not as sensitive little Human Beings who might be acting out because they had needs which weren’t being identified or met.

The reason I’m spending so much time on this before I get into the details of The Miracle is simple. As I’ve worked with others over the past 20 years, helping them to identify their own brokenness and find healing after lifetimes of unmet and even previously unidentified needs, God has shown me some surprising and startling – disturbing, even – things along the way. (a) That it isn’t just drug addicts, alcoholics, sex addicts or sex offenders who display obvious symptoms of childhood abuse and neglect. (b) I see evidence of the same symptoms in stores, on the roadway, in public schools and virtually everywhere I look.

I’m not saying everyone has suffered from generational abuse or neglect or hasn’t had their needs met growing up, but I am suggesting that this description describes, in my observation, the vast majority of us. Healthy child rearing is the exception in America. To one degree or another, virtually all of us have grown up without the benefit of healthy parents raised by healthy parents. Do you understand what I just said? Alcoholism, control issues, egos, inferiority complexes, drug addiction, anger issues, power struggles, superiority complexes, fear, general dysfunction which comes from generations of unhealthy childhoods and the struggle to keep up with the Jones’s at all costs – all were present in the homes we grew up in, collectively speaking, and our parents were as oblivious to it all as we’ve been. Sadly, it’s the children who pick up the tab for this dysfunction, who then grow into dysfunctional adults, who in turn raise more dysfunctional children. If you ever wondered why the divorce rate is so high in America, it’s because Americans don’t value principled living anymore…again, collectively speaking.

Whether adult or child, the demand for attention is evidence of self-centeredness and reveals an individual who didn’t get enough or the right kinds of attention early on. Look at the public school playgrounds, particularly middle schools and high schools. Children are collectively crying out for attention like never before, acting out in unhealthy ways like no generation before them. They are so hungry for real love, emotionally needy and so lacking for truth that they’ll believe practically anything that is told to them which appeals to their own self-centeredness. This generation in schools today is experiencing the results of ongoing generational abuse and neglect exacerbated by Mom being driven out of the home (forced into employment by perceived financial neediness) by political correctness 40 years ago. The desire to have a career and keep up with the Jones’ took priority over “Who is going to raise our children?”, leaving children (a) to be raised primarily by daycare workers who typically do not love them, and (b) with parents who were raised by their own parents who believed that fear was a good tool which was utilized liberally in order to try to control their own children.

Then look at the groups of adults who demand our attention most. Who comes to mind? The incessant demands for attention are caused by the same issues: lack of real and intimate connection with parent(s) growing up, needs not met, dictatorship parenting styles, abuse, neglect and abandonment (emotional or physical – i.e. dads not in the home) including emotional disconnect with parents who are still in the home, but who are emotionally unavailable to their spouses and children.

I’m sure no one wants to believe I’m referring to them. If you live in America, however, the odds are good that I am referring to you. The odds are great, in fact. The only reason Liberalism has been allowed to drive our nation toward Socialism is because Americans don’t value principled living anymore, collectively speaking. The worship of Self is due to the lack of healthy relationships in our homes. Read it and weep if you must, but it’s true. Dysfunctional adults are teaching our children in public schools, many of whom have abandoned God out of their love of Self. Our children are being taught to be codependent like the teachers, to revere sexual dysfunction and pretend it’s normal, to mock and ridicule or at least ignore God in favor of pretending Evolution is proven science, which it’s not. While all of this is going on, where are we, the parents? Having been raised on the same dysfunctional crap, many of us are home watching American Idol hoping our children will just leave us alone tonight.

Our posterity has been hijacked, and collectively speaking we, like Patty Hearst, have now joined the hijackers and aid and abet them in their sickness. America is only going to get worse until Americans decide that humility and self-control, rigorous honesty and love and acceptance and faith – all of the Spiritual principles we’ve abandoned – are valuable again.

THE MIRACLE: Let’s get started with what we can do about this state of generational dysfunction. If you’ve been reading with me so far, the pump ought to be primed by now, so let’s start with Humility – next…

Life isn’t rocket science. It’s really not. People can be complicated, but when a person’s life, heart and mind are in good working order, people simply aren’t complicated at all. We all have the same needs, and when those needs aren’t met, we all respond in similar fashion. We get upside down, demanding, angry and unreasonable. We become complicated. Our minds, desperate to resolve our perceived needs, act erratically and irrationally, unreasonably, even. America today has collectively chosen to take the path of least resistance for the past 40 years, and as it virtually always does, the easy way has come with a horrible price. Right has become wrong. Good has become bad. Evil is wonderful and sick behavior is applauded, and people of faith, as well as all people of good moral and ethical character, have been made to feel like outcasts here in America.

This is, by the way, the beginning of my series on The Miracle, the process by which truth is revealed, broken lives are mended, hearts and minds set straight and restored to sanity, and relationships and families are restored. Let me first acknowledge that every generation prior to ours has fallen way short of perfect. Way short, even, of civilility, collectively speaking. We yelled at those whom we were entrusted to love and teach, we hit them, we made them afraid of us so that they might do what we told them. It’s generational, this abuse I just described. That’s right, I called it “abuse”. Without getting into major exhortations about just how abusive was the generation before us (“us” being Baby Boomers), let’s just say that our parents’ generation, collectively speaking, had it worse than we did. Truly, however, they didn’t learn how to really love on their children. Oh, they made sacrifices for us, and they loved us as best they could, many of them. But they didn’t have the benefit of being loved on themselves, many of them, as their parents had learned the “a child should be seen and not heard” philosophy of child rearing. That apple, I think you’ll agree, falls pretty darned far from the Love Tree. And our parents paid a price for that lack of loving upbringing, as have we. Being raised by people who were raised by abusive parents pretty much guarantees that the next generation will be experiencing abuse, too. And we did.

That said, the evidence is all around us. Whenever a child’s needs aren’t met or they’re subjected to abuse of any kind, they retreat into Self, becoming selfish, self-centered, oftentimes self-reliant and sometimes self-obsessed, frequently rejecting God because “Where was God when I needed Him?” Look around. One needn’t look far to see examples of what I’ve just described. Hollywood, Washington D.C., liberalism, addictions. All are mired in, and filled with, individuals who are collectively self-centered to the extreme. All, coincidentally, are victims having experienced Generational Abuse themselves. That’s why they take, take, take and want, want, want. They are needy in ways they don’t even realize. Sadly, nothing outside of themselves – not money, attention, fame, power – will fill or heal that needy place that has become what seems like ‘just the way I am”. Emotional neediness doesn’t go away. Drugs and alcohol might mask it for a season, and getting attention might distract us from the emptiness for a time, but the emotional damage caused by not getting our needs met as children does not go away by itself.

I know, I know. We all claim we weren’t abused. Did you know that virtually all victims of abuse think their experience is ‘normal’? It’s true. Another lie from Hell is this one: “That’s how my parents raised me and I didn’t turn out so bad”. And, sadly, that phenomenon is probably closer to typical than to being the exception. Even children of alcoholics, despite knowing their parents are alcoholic, don’t realize what a huge price comes with being raised in an alcoholic household, sometimes never seeking help to recover from the lack of real loving relationship in their home growing up and from not having adults who were interested in identifying and seeing to it that a child’s individual needs were met. Victims of sexual or physical abuse will oftentimes spend decades thinking “That was then and this is now”, not realizing how incredibly damaged a person’s psyche becomes after molestation, neglect, emotional abandonment or abuse. Oftentimes fearing confrontation with the perpetrators who may be named “Dad” or “Mom” or include other family members or friends who sometimes refuse to believe that their own family would do such things is the basis for reluctance to address such instances of physical, sexual and emotional abuse.

Abuse is generational. Children raised by abusers or alcoholics are not handed down healthy life coping skills because typically none exist in homes such as these. ACOA (Adult Children of Alcoholics) as well as people who were raised in the “Children should be seen and not heard” method sometimes don’t realize that their own needs likely were not met during critical times of their lives, and also don’t realize that they really aren’t armed to do life in a healthy way. Passing down what they learned from their abusive and/or alcoholic parents, these ACOAs, for example, rule their children in the same way they were raised. Utilizing varying degrees of fear, intimidation, threats – even implied threats – and physical violence to try to control their children are not the ingredients for a child’s healthy upbringing. Quite the contrary, yet frankly, it appears to be the norm, not the exception in America today. When the people that a child loves most, who are supposed to be protecting and nurturing them, are yelling at them, using fear to intimidate them, threatening and hitting them because the child is acting out because they aren’t getting their actual needs met, a child’s psyche is deeply damaged, and exacerbates the cycle of “needs not met; force the child to comply; needs still not met; continue to try to force the child to comply”.

The first step toward healing is admitting that one is sick. Collectively speaking, America is very sick, and has been for a very long time. We raise our children as second class citizens, as we were raised in the same dysfunctional way. Despite any appearance that this series might be negative in nature, The Miracle is quite the contrary. First, we establish the truth. We look long and hard at what’s going on in our nation, and we investigate, discover and admit the truth, the whole truth, nothing but the truth. I’ll continue this national self-evaluation in my next column, in which I’ll finish establishing the uncomfortable truth so that we can get this party started, personally, and collectively…

Current laws make racial discrimination illegal. Many of these laws were not in place in 1969 when the Congressional Black Caucus was created, but over the years laws were put into place which leveled the playing field between blacks, whites, Asians, Hispanics and Native Americans. Racism is now against the law. Hallelujah for that, right? Then why do Americans continue to allow it? Guilt? Shame? A lack of collective self-esteem, perhaps? There are many reasons why a person would turn a blind eye to racism, although none of those reasons have anything to do with practicing principles. Quite the contrary, in fact.

Most assuredly this issue points to a complete lack of principles on the part of all Congresspersons, white, black and whatever color they might be. A lack of courage is the most obvious. None of our Congressional representatives have the courage to point out that racism is racism. In fact, none in our Judicial system has that kind of courage either, as Black Chambers of Commerce, Hispanic Chambers of Commerce, the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People are all still in existence today, while no one, white, black, brown or red has the courage to point out that these are all racist organizations. And do we even have to say one word about “La Raza”, the most blatantly racist organization of all? Yet, no one says a word.

There is no Congressional White Caucus. Nor is there a White Chamber of Commerce or a National Association for the Advancement of White People. Why not, you might ask? Because those would be considered “racist” organizations, would they not? If white people, rather than Hispanics, created a national organization or non-profit called “The Race”, would everyone be okay with that? Yet Hispanics have done it and mum’s the word on acismray (pssst: I believe that is Piglatin for “racism” ).

White people are not allowed to create organizations designed to support themselves in America. I have to wonder, aside from the obvious (that liberalism is another word for raging codependence that has been mislabled “Political Correctness”), why white, black, Asian or Hispanic Americans allow this racism to continue. After momentary consideration, I guess I can see why black, Asian and Hispanic folks don’t complain about this racism. They are the beneficiaries of this kind of blatant racism.

That, of course, points to a plethora of principles being ignored and even trampled on, such as honesty, courage, integrity, truth, love, self-discipline, honor, acceptance, humility, confession – the list of principles being ignored and not practiced is long when it comes to those who quietly allow and support racism in America.

This, of course, is just another example of why America is experiencing such difficulty right now, collectively speaking. Without the courage to be honest and forthcoming, to talk about the truth, to humble ourselves one to another and admit when we are wrong (any organization which defines itself by race is “racist”), to support each other when our rights are trampled (whites, for example, don’t have the same rights as blacks, Asians and Hispanics when it comes to public or private organizations – whites cannot create a Congressional White Caucus or a White Chamber of Commerce, yet blacks can – fair? No.).

It might not seem like a problem to blacks, Asians and Hispanics yet, at least, even if they can personally  admit they see the racism going on, they are clearly as unwilling as white people are to bring it up and point it out. No, it may not seem like a problem yet, but, as Pastor Martin Niemöller pointed out in his poem <em><strong>”In Germany they came first for the Communists, and I didn’t speak up because I wasn’t a Communist. Then they came for the Jews, and I didn’t speak up because I wasn’t a Jew. Then they came for the trade unionists, and I didn’t speak up because I wasn’t a trade unionist. Then they came for the Catholics, and I didn’t speak up because I was a Protestant. Then they came for me, and by that time no one was left to speak up.”</em></strong>

The U.S. government and apparently we, the people have said nothing about white people’s rights being taken away, rights all other races have, enjoy and exercise openly in identifying themselves and promoting their own race’s causes. If we allow racism to continue in America – and we do today – we can expect racism to get worse. It’s that simple.

If we aren’t willing to stand up for one another and level the playing field when it comes to racial discrimination, then let’s stop pretending that all of that fighting over civil rights did anything but turn the victims into the oppressors and the oppressors into victims.

Ask yourself: Would you support a Congressional White Caucus? Probably not. I wouldn’t. Then why have you said nothing about the Congressional Black Caucus or the Congressional Hispanic Caucus? Racists support racism. Think about that, perhaps…and then think about what a principled individual might say or do about this. And then say it and do it.

By the way, as if it matters (it doesn’t), half of my family is Hispanic, my daughters are all part Hispanic and Native American, my mother in law is black, and my wife is half white/half Hispanic and her sisters are either half white/half Hispanic or half white/half black. I have no problem with people of any races, as my family is a cornucopia of mixed races. I love them all and I am not concerned with their race, but rather with their character, which defines them as individuals.

I have a problem with racism. I think you should, too. We should all have a problem with racism and racist organizations by now.

When discussing Obama, she says:

1. Obama destroyed the Clinton Political Machine, driving a stake through the heart of Hillary’s presidential aspirations – something no Republican was ever able to do.

2. Obama killed off the Kennedy Dynasty – no more Kennedys trolling Washington looking for booze and women wanting rides home.

3. Obama is destroying the Democratic Party before our eyes! Dennis Moore had never lost a race. Evan Bayh had never lost a race. Byron Dorgan had never lost a race. Harry Reid – soon to be GONE! These are just a handful of the Democrats whose political careers Obama has destroyed. By the end of 2010, dozens more will be gone. Just think, in December of 2008 the Democrats were on the rise. In the last two election cycles, they had picked up 14 Senate seats and 52 House seats. The press was touting the death of the Conservative Movement and the Republican Party. However, in just one year, Obama put a stop to all of this and will probably give the House – if not the Senate – back to the Republicans.

4. Obama has completely exposed liberals and progressives for what they are. Sadly, every generation seems to need to re-learn the lesson on why they should never actually put liberals in charge. Obama is bringing home the lesson very well: Liberals tax, borrow and spend. Liberals won’t bring themselves to protect America . Liberals want to take over the economy. Liberals think they know what is best for everyone.Liberals are not happy until they are running YOUR life.

5. Obama has brought more Americans back to conservatism than anyone since Reagan. In one year, he has rejuvenated the Conservative Movement and brought out to the streets millions of freedom loving Americans. Name one other time when you saw your friends and neighbors this interested in taking back America!

6. Obama, with his “amazing leadership,” has sparked the greatest period of sales of firearms and ammunition this country has seen. Law abiding citizens have rallied and have provided a “stimulus” to the sporting goods field while other industries have failed, faded, or moved off-shore.

7. In all honesty, one year ago I was more afraid than I have been in my life. Not afraid of the economy, but afraid of the direction our country was going. I thought, Americans have forgotten what this country is all about. My neighbors and friends, even strangers, have proved to me that my lack of confidence in the greatness and wisdom of the American people has been flat wrong.

8. When the American people wake up, no smooth talking teleprompter reader can fool them! Barack Obama has served to wake up these great Americans!

Again, I want to say: “Thank you, Barack Obama!” After all, this is exactly the kind of hope and change we desperately needed!! We may want to keep Obama, he’s the best thing that ever happened for Republicans.

One only needs to look at the recent Restoring Honor rally in Washington D.C. and compare it with the event put on by Hollywood’s own Jon Stewart to see that the balance of Conservatives to Liberals in America isn’t even close to parity. Crowd estimates of from 500,000 to over 1,000,000 people at Restoring Honor compare to the Liberal “Rally to Restore Sanity” response which was relatively barely attended, with 25,000 by their own estimates. The idea was to counter the Conservative’s Restoring Honor event, and instead what it revealed was the truth that there simply aren’t that many Liberals in America.

Do you understand the ramifications of that revelation? It’s called “voter fraud”, and clearly, with the Liberal Left being exposed as but a small minority, albeit a very loud and vocal minority – Liberals own the mainstream media, after all – it stands to reason that there is no way such a minority could ever win an election versus the 70% of America who is Conservative. But every election is so close, isn’t it? Then again, we’ve also learned that Progressives have infiltrated both national political parties, so that the Democrat Party has become openly Communist while the Progressive GOP leadership are still remaining as invisible as possible, but they are there.

Here’s the “Grand Illusion”, folks: The national Democrat Party doesn’t exist anymore. The national Republican Party doesn’t exist, either. Both have been taken over by Progressive Communists over the past 50 years and no longer represent we, the people in either camp. I am suggesting that these Progressive Communists are working in tandem, controlling the media, controlling elections, and producing fraudulent vote counts, and that this fraud has been going on for decades while we, the people enjoyed our toys and other selfish indulgences. We, the people took our eyes off of Washington and the rats flowed in. Yes, you’re correct in wondering if what I’m suggesting is that Joseph McCarthy was, indeed, right about the Communist infiltration of our government. McCarthy was right, yet he was shouted down by the Liberal-owned Progressive Communist mainstream media giant which owned and still owns ABC, CBS, and NBC.

More of the “Grand Illusion”: Due to the sudden rise in activists (Tea Party) in our country, America suddenly appears to be approximately 70% Conservative, as evidenced by the rising up of we, the people in the form of the Tea Party, while barely 30% are Liberal Progressives. Even in Sonoma County, after living here for 5 decades, I’ve suddenly realized that there are really very few hardcore Liberals here in SoCo. Despite decades of the NYTimes-owned local  newspaper (there is really only one with any real distribution) insisting that Sonoma County is “Liberal”, that hasn’t been my observation at all. I know very few hardboiled Liberals, although I do know many ambivalent fence-sitters who are too confused and/or discouraged to take a stand one way or the other. They, like myself, have been bombarded with lies from the Liberal propaganda media for decades now, and understandably feel like they have no voice here, and so, sadly, many have confessed that they haven’t voted for years.

Bingo! That is one of the goals of the Progressive Communist Liberal propaganda media: to discourage people and instill a sense of hopelessness. That is how Communists swoop in politically and take control over nations, after rendering the populace (that would be you and I and all of our neighbors) hopeless and discouraged, the Communists come forward and offer their version of “hope” in the form of “We’ll take care of you.” The ambivalent and the fence-sitters, who have become habitually apathetic, buy into very expensively produced propaganda campaigns, largely on television, both in advertising and in the content of Prime-time programming, simply roll over apathetically believing “Everything will be alright”.

Well, they are wrong, and the apathetic fence-sitters have also begun to dwindle in numbers as more and more Americans, even here in Sonoma County CA, have snapped out of their propaganda-induced sleepiness and have now begun to attend rallies, gather with the rest of the 70% who are largely Conservative, and the “Grand Illusion” has been exposed like the man behind the curtain.

America is a faith-filled nation of Conservative Patriots, not a left-wing stronghold of Communists like the propaganda media portrays us. It’s important that we talk about this fraud with our friends and neighbors, expose this illusion ASAP, get involved in local, state and federal politics and remove every Progressive Communist we find in leadership in America, and there are many at every level of government.

It’s a huge job, but we, the people need to do it now. We have been taken to the edge of the abyss, and are teetering on the cliff right now. We have time to save ourselves and our nation for our children. Public employee unions need to go. They no longer serve any value and are bankrupting our nation financially with overly generous wages and benefits and retirement. Public service is supposed to be service, not a way to get rich. Corrupt union leadership has bred an army of Communists now, using fear and greed to convince public service employees that they are entitled to more than they deserve, and it is bankrupting our nation. I support private unions. They are on their own. Public sector unions, however, are bankrupting our nation and it’s time that public service went back to being what it once was: a steady job, not a drain on the American economy.

We can do this. Our future depends on it.

Fact: Our mainstream media makes no real or honest effort to discover and present the truth to us about issues or candidates. Instead, journalism is dead and the mainstream media has lost all credibility due to its ongoing engagement in propaganda and misrepresentation of the truth, as well as regularly lying by omission to we, the people in national and local broadcasts.

The media could be a vital part of creating the most informed and intelligent nation on the planet, but due to their engagement in dishonest journalism, character assassination and lying to the American people, have rendered the entire mainstream media less than useless. The media not only exacerbates the problems we face, but have now become a part of America’s problems as they intentionally mislead, misinform and misdirect we, the people daily.

We elect our supposed representatives to represent we, the people, so that we all have a voice in our government, a government originally intended to be of the people, for the people and by the people. That premise, however, was lost decades ago as professional politicians sold their souls first to corporate America, primarily greedy businesses who wanted to make more money, and then – and now – to powerful individuals who are greedy for more power. Our Senators and Representatives no longer represent we, the people, but seem to believe that their job is to teach us what to think and tell us what to believe as they do the bidding of those who are secretly making them richer.

Capitalism created the richest most powerful nation on the planet – in the history of Mankind, in fact – because the Land of Opportunity was designed to be exactly that: the Land of Opportunity. To this day, despite the Communist takeover of Congress and the media, one who is born poor can die rich because of the rights and freedom to succeed and fail which exists nowhere else in the world besides America.

As I grew up in the 1960′s and read daily of the ‘revolutionaries’ who were trying to overthrow our government, even then I wondered what was wrong with those people. People who, having been raised in the land of the free and the home of the brave, advocated for Socialism and Communism, as though they were so foolish and stupid that they couldn’t tell good from bad. Of course those foolish individuals went away over time, unable to get the rest of us to agree that Communism is good, or that our Constitutional Republic was bad. We knew better.

Today, however, those same hippies and revolutionaries have taken control of the mainstream media, using it as a weapon against we, the people. Engaged in an intense propaganda campaign designed to tear down the church and turn people away from God, to discredit the traditional American family, the hippies, revolutionaries and Communists have suddenly taken control of the White House, with additional major influence in both houses of Congress. While effectively distracting us with ridiculous Prime-time television full of propaganda and ridiculous presentations of what they want us to believe America is about, they have conned many Americans into voluntarily putting a Communist in the White House who is ignoring Congress every chance he gets as he forces Communism on our nation.

Many true American patriots, having formed what we call “The Tea Party”, anxiously await the November elections so that we, the people can remove the Progressives – Communist Democrats who have pretended to represent us – and restore our nation’s Constitutional Republican form of government and stop this ugly slide into Communism that our president is shoving down our throats just as fast as he possibly can. Many of us, however, are very well aware that this administration has produced crisis after crisis in the short time they’ve taken control of the White House, and have avoided Congress and minimalized Congressional approval to virtually every major appointment this administration has made thus far, clearly because the persons appointed to posts in this administration would never have made it to Congressional approval because of who they are, what they believe, and what they’ve been involved in, in the past.

Yet we still turn on the TV and watch our favorite shows, like ignorant suckers addicted to garbage, filling our heads with more filth and misinformation and propaganda. By our participation in this charade, we volunteer to become more brainwashed, more foolish and more culpable in this effort to destroy America as we know it.

Come to think of it, we’re not victims of these Communists. We’re volunteers, everytime we turn on that TV to ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN or MSNBC, we volunteer to be fed more propaganda. Like hopeless addicts, however, now that we’ve admitted we have a problem, the next step is to commit to complete abstinance.

Nothing but Fox News from now on.

We, the People are him.

A year or two ago I recall making the comparison of today’s political environment to The Truman Show, in which Jim Carrey played a character named Truman who had been the object of a reality show since the day he was born. Cameras everywhere, living on a giant movie set, surrounded by nothing but actors who pretended to be his mom and dad, his friends, even his girlfriend, all who were in on the secret that this was just a TV reality show. Truman was the only person on Earth who didn’t know, and all of America watched “The Truman Show” every day.

Of course, toward the end of the movie a couple of things went wrong and Truman figured it out. As the producers were panicking and the actors freaking out because they could see that Truman was on to the whole thing, Truman busted his way out of that reality show and landed squarely in Reality.

I made the comparison because we, the people have been jerked around, lied to, distracted intentionally by the mainstream media while bad people have been doing bad things behind the curtain. These bad people have been stealing our money and using it for themselves. They have engaged in a master plan to take over the world and have been successfully playing it out, practicing, if you will, in the USSR and in Europe where they have successfully conned the godless masses into letting these few, rich and bad people manipulate Europe into a Communist community with a new currency called the Euro. No longer independent nations, Italy, Greece, Spain, Poland, all of Europe became under one governance, a Communist governance that is even now crashing and burning.

While the cameras were on Truman everywhere he went, recording every sound and word he made, ala Big Brother of 1984, America’s Truman Show is playing out in exactly the same way, only the cameras are not on us. Instead, we stare at the monitors, watching and listening to everything these bad people want us to see and hear as they play out their little plan. They tell us what to think and what to believe. They teach us who to hate and what to be angry about. They do these things using very simple techniques such as repetition. That is, they learned to manipulate Human Beings. Repeating the same lie over and over on several different channels effectively convinces the unwitting and unaware that this lie is true. Propaganda was invented in the United States by our first Progressive/Communist President Wilson.

Appealing to our most basic Human emotions, these bad people have been manipulating public opinion for 100 years now in their effort to get Americans to buy into Communism. Of course, that’s a tough sell considering what history has shown us about Communism. But these bad people have figured out that they only need to call it something else – Communists are calling themselves “Progressives” this time. At other times in the past they’ve called themselves “Socialists”, “Hippies”, “Revolutionaries”, but they all stemmed from unrealistic ideology first penned by Karl Marx. The bottom line is that these bad people dangle carrots in front of we, the people, promising to take care of us and that everything will be fair. If we buy into their lies (they are always lies) then we surrender our freedom and rights and liberty to these bad people and they rule us like slaves. It’s happened in the USSR, in Communist China, Vietnam, Cuba, and the promises of peace and prosperity always turn into tyranny and oppression…oh, and mass murder and imprisonment without charges and rape and theft and misery and poverty.

So today, the “Hippies” of the 1960′s have seized control of the White House, Congress, the mainstream media and our public school system. They have been actively and intentionally brainwashing and propagandizing us for the last 40 years at a level previously unreached. That is, they’ve turned up the volume and they are ‘closing the deal’ on us as I type.

The problem, however, is that we (we’re Truman – remember?) have suddenly realized what is going on. Despite the mainstream media’s ongoing multibillion-dollar effort to fool us and to lull us into a place of false security, the American spirit is not the European spirit, by any stretch of the imagination. Americans are fiercely independent as well as charitable, but we are not the fools that Europeans were, nor are we ignorant like the Russian people were. Enough of us have been paying attention and seeing that things aren’t adding up, and we’ve suddenly realized that this has all been staged, a phony imaginary reality put on by bad people who have been desperately trying to get us to let them take our liberty, our freedom and our rights in exchange for empty promises.

As this article explains in relating The Truman Show to we, the people: “Thus does the movie offer us a metaphor for our own situation. The fake landscape Truman lives in is our own media landscape in which news, politics, advertising and public affairs are increasingly made up of theatrical illusions. Like our media landscape, it is convincing in its realism, with lifelike simulations and story lines, from the high-tech facsimile of a sun that benevolently beams down on Truman to the mock sincerity of the actor he mistakenly believes is his best friend. It is also rewarding and masquerades as something benevolent. And it is seamless — there are almost no flaws that give away the illusion — at least until things start to go wrong.

Truman’s fear of leaving this invented world, once he realizes it is a fraud, is similarly like our own reluctance to break our symbiotic relationship with media.“

Yes, our Reality is a fraud. The media is a lie factory. Bad people have been busy convincing us that everything is okay while they gradually steal everything we own.

But someone made a mistake and we began to see the truth. We’re past the point of ridiculousness now, in this effort to manipulate public opinion. You see, we now know we’re being lied to. We’ve seen the men behind the curtain. We’re gotten a peek at their script and we see where this is all leading, and we don’t want to play anymore.

This game has gone past the point of ridiculousness. Now it’s about to get very, very real. We, the People, are awake at last.

America, let's talk...and keep it real.

Fathers are the main reason I have such incredible job security. Drug and alcohol treatment centers all across the country can tip their hats and send thank you cards to American fathers everywhere. Well, to at least half of the fathers in our nation, anyway. You see, working with recovering addicts and alcoholics for nearly 20 years, I’ve discovered several common threads. One (unrelated to the subject of this article) is that virtually all addicts and alcoholics are above average intelligence. I know, I know, their behavior doesn’t bear that out when they are drinking or using dope. But truly one of the reasons men and women get so self-centered is because they discover that they are more intelligent than most people around them. Therefore, they tend to rely on their own understanding rather than seeking counsel from others. I’ll get more into how self-centeredness manifests in those who suffer from addiction, and for now let’s talk about another major common thread which addicts share: Dad issues.

Divorce typically removes the father from the home. Children most often stay with Mom, and Dad becomes a weekend visitor, if that. Due to Mom’s own desperate need for a father’s love, she will commonly seek someone who will suffice to fill the hole in her heart left by her own father. So due to the divorce, Dad abandons his children in order to escape from his wife, Mom starts focusing on finding another man to fill the hole which can only be filled by her Father, and the children have now lost both Dad and Mom thanks to the divorce. Even when Mom finds what she considers a suitable man to take Dad’s place, the children are still abandoned while Mom gets obsessed with her new “love” (really just desperation- masked lust or the relief achieved because “somebody loves me”). A new battle ensues as children and “new Dad” fight for first position in their mom’s heart. It’s bad enough that Dad is gone, and Mom, if she is intelligent and intuitive and compassionate, should recognize that she now needs to make up for the loss of Dad’s love in their house. Logically, Mom needs to bring more love to the table now in order to insure that her children get the love they need in order to feel secure and cared for, but the same selfishness which contributed to creating the divorce in the first place continues to destroy her childrens’ lives even further as the kids pick up the tab for Mom’s inability to manage a healthy relationship. Adding some stranger to the family does not solve the problem.

Divorce is truly a sign of emotional immaturity. Be it due to initially mistaking lust or acceptance for ‘falling in love’ , or to being unwilling to have the integrity to keep one’s commitments (marriage), it is emotional immaturity that is at the root of America’s high divorce rate. That two adults can’t figure out how to get along or how to fall back in love says volumes about both parents. That isn’t the beginning and the end, however, of this column. Oh no, it’s just the tip of the iceberg.

That the divorce rate hovers around 50% for both religious and nonreligious communities makes some very obvious points which I am grateful for the opportunity to bring to your attention here today. Because American Christianity has been attacked, watered down and diluted almost completely in this day and age, it’s unlikely that even faithful church-goers are really walking the walk Jesus encourages us to walk. And, interestingly, knowing Jesus simply isn’t enough to save a marriage. Knowing anyone isn’t enough to change a person’s life. It is the proactive interaction in a relationship which brings about the wisdom, knowledge, and fruit which love produces, be it friendship, familial or romantic love.

So now about you, Dad: You chose to abandon your children to be raised by a woman you refuse to live with. Do you understand what I just said? You chose to abandon your own children, leaving them to be raised by a woman that you, yourself do not want in your own life any longer. Oh, you’re pretty darned sure that you’ll be visiting your children on weekends, if Mom will let you, and besides, you weren’t that active in their lives anyway. So your sons get to be raised by Mom, influenced most in their lives by someone you refuse to spend time with or even seek help in order to resolve issues in your relationship with her, and your boys get to be raised by a girl. Great. Or is it?

And how about your daughters? Our daughters need their father’s love probably more than you realized when you agreed to that divorce or, worse yet, filed papers in order to abandon your children and resign them to live with this woman you yourself won’t live with. Even when Dad is in the home, if he isn’t actively participating in his little girl’s life, showing up at all of her special events, birthday parties, games (if she plays sports), dance rehearsal and recitals, etc., then Dad has effectively already abandoned his daughter, despite living under the same roof with her. She needs to know Dad loves her. It is a special love that Mom can’t give, this love between a father and his daughter. It is a unique love which will affect this girl for the rest of her life, this Father’s love.

Deny her that relationship and she will oftentimes set out in her teen years to fill that place in her heart as best she can, unconsciously and desperately seeking the unique love that only a father can give her. In that desperate quest, however, daughters commonly begin seeking acceptance and some semblance of love by giving their bodies – and their virginity – to boys they hardly know. They don’t realize why they are making themselves sex toys for boys at school, and if the boy claims to love them, it just seems right to get in bed and give themselves completely – physically speaking – to boys oftentimes not old enough to be employed. Not only are the boys she invites into her life unemployable, but they are oftentimes not the least bit interested in, nor are they capable of the kind of love your daughter is really seeking. They just want to enjoy your daughter’s body. Because you’ve abandoned your daughter when you abandoned your marriage, you’ve now left your little girl to the mercy of boys who likely just want to use her for sex.

These aren’t necessarily bad boys. These boys have got issues of their own, having been raised in dysfunctional America, much like your little girl. That, and the fact that nature tends to call them into manhood in ways that our society has translated into “Go get laid”.

So many girls take this path, and have done so ever since Moms went to work, by the way (in the 1960s), that it actually seems normal now for girls to become the sex objects of boys in Jr. High and High School, with parents defending their kids’ rights to act out sexually and even approving of condom machines in the bathrooms. You see, your ex-wife isn’t capable of protecting your daughter from the boys who wish to prey on your daughter. Your ex-wife is likely to consider it normal for your daughter to act out sexually through her teens, even if she becomes a whore at school. It’s normal to her, and with good reason: She probably didn’t have a relationship with her dad, either. She went through school looking for love in all the wrong places too. It’s “normal” to your ex-wife that your daughter is being used for sex by boys who couldn’t care less about your daughter’s feelings or her future.

It’s called a “generational curse”. Liberals and Progressives have surrendered to this sad behavior, and they are the parents who are demanding that condom machines be put into Jr. High bathrooms, so their sons don’t get your daughter pregnant. They are the parents who want sex education taught to kindergartners and want gradeschoolers to be taught that homosexuality is “normal” when it’s clearly not. Do you understand the dynamic of what you’ve created now, Dad? By abandoning your wife and family, you’ve abandoned your children. You’ve left them unprotected by your love and your presence, and you’ve left them to the mercy – if there is any, and usually there is not – of the boys who grow to become sexual predators because – oh, that’s right, there’s more – they were abandoned either physically or emotionally by their Dads and they are unconsciously seeking love in all the wrong places, too. Love, of course, which can only be provided by you: Dad.

So let’s review: By refusing to learn how to love your wife, and refusing to make a study of her like God’s word tells us to, you abandon the woman you’ve committed your life to in front of God and all your friends, and you abandon your children to be raised and/or at least affected by whatever jerk your ‘unfit’ wife is going to bring into their home. You assign your daughter to a life with a hole in her heart that you were supposed to fill, and you deny her the experience of what it’s like to have a father who loves her more than anyone else on the planet will ever be able to love her.

Your sons, as well, get to be raised by a woman who doesn’t understand what it is to be a man, so you’ve assigned them a lifetime of dysfunctional relationships with women as they try to sort out for themselves what it is to actually be a man. Oh, and the woman you’ve forced them to be raised by is the same woman you refuse to live with. Interesting.

Seem fair? Does that seem like the actions of a man of integrity who cares about his children? Have your children earned what you’ve forced on them, really? But hey, you’ve got your FREEDOM, right? You can resume your quest for love in all the wrong places, picking up (predator) new unsuspecting women who have no idea that you’re simply engaged in that generational curse left to you by your father, not realizing that you really don’t love them at all but just want to get them in bed so you can use their bodies and pretend you matter because someone is willing to share themselves with you sexually.

But if it was really about love, this life of yours, Dad, wouldn’t you have stayed in the home with your children to raise them and protect them, humbling yourself in whatever way you needed to so that your daughters and your sons had the benefit of a loving Dad in their home and in their lives who cared so much about them, and who loved them so much that no sacrifice was too great to make on their behalf? If this was about being a stand-up man, a man of integrity, wouldn’t you have invested in however many counselors or couples retreats it might have taken in order for you and your (now ex) wife to raise your family together, to raise your children together, to grow closer as a couple and to learn how to overcome your differences and abandon your individual selfishness? I mean, so that your children could see what a man of integrity looks like up close, and what a great father looks like up close, so that your sons could become like you – because they will – and so your daughters could seek out a young man of integrity to make her husband one day?

Yeah, I’m sure it was so difficult to get along with “her”. I know how “she” was. No, really. I know. I’ve been there and done that too, Dad. I’m not speaking from a place of judgment right now, although it might seem that way to you as you read, if you’re even still reading what I’ve written here. Yes, I know “she” was difficult and unreasonable and hard to live with and impossible at times. I know that. I know that because I’ve been those things too. All of them. And guess what…

So have you. But you didn’t have to abandon your little girl just because you didn’t have the courage to walk through some problems in your marriage. Your little girl shouldn’t have had to pick up the tab for your “freedom” from the commitment you made on your wedding day to your wife, to God and in front of your friends. She is picking up the tab, however. She’s likely going to turn out exactly like your ex-wife, too, in large part because you aren’t there every morning and every night to raise her. Your ex-wife did that. Your ex that was so impossible stood in there with your sons and daughters, and raised them as best they could, regardless if you paid your child support or showed up on weekends or ever other weekend to put in some token time with them. So your daughter, being raised by a woman who was abandoned by her dad and now her husband, is in someone else’s hands now, not yours.

Not only that, but it’s likely that I might get to meet your daughter or your son one day. You see, I work in drug treatment. Long-term, residential drug treatment where the most broken kids who have grown into broken adults show up every day, asking for help, and love, and a chance to start a new life, because the life they were dealt didn’t meet their needs. With anger issues, abandonment issues, self-esteem issues, sexual issues, drug problems, alcoholism, with children of their own who have been taken away by the system which doesn’t know how to fix these problems, your kids end up at my facility.

The good news? My staff and I love them like you didn’t. We point them to another Father who loves them more than life itself. We teach them a new way to live, in spite of their brokenness and their issues with men and issues with women and their anger and resentment and their court records and their inability to even express their deep sadness and regret about their relationship or lack of relationship with Dad. We teach them how to find the words in order to express themselves, so that they can hear themselves say it, and so the nightmare can become real and they can cry the tears that it takes to resolve a life with or without you, Dad. Yes, the good news is that we love them like our Heavenly Father loves them…because we were them, too, at one time. We lived much of what they lived. We got to learn about our Father who art in Heaven, who loves us as much as He loves your children. And we got to experience His love and healing which only He can facilitate.

And we get to introduce your children to Him, too, to our Father, which art in Heaven. And that is the most amazing love any of us have ever experienced. But how much more might we all have enjoyed His love if we didn’t have to meet Him in all of our brokenness, but instead perhaps because our own Earthly father might have introduced us to Him so that we might have experienced all of the love which our Creator intended for us in the first place?

Are you considering divorce right now? Please, don’t. It’s not that I don’t want to meet your son or daughter. I do. I’m blessed by every person who makes it us who doesn’t OD or end up in prison for a long, long time. But before you file those divorce papers, ask yourself if this is how you want your story to go. Do you want to leave your children behind, because that’s what you will do if you divorce your wife, leave them behind, become a part-time dad, subject them to whomever your wife might meet and bring home, and turn them loose at school to become either a predator or prey for other broken kids like them.

Your story doesn’t have to go like that. It really doesn’t. If you need help, email me or call someone. Call a marriage and family counselor and take the time to interview them. If they don’t seem right, call and interview another, and another, until you find someone that you believe can help you stay in your marriage. The truth is that you’re just going to take all your problems into the next relationship, should you decide to divorce now. It will be like Groundhog’s Day, only different people, but the same problems. It doesn’t have to go that way, this story of yours called Life.

Be a man. Get help. Do it for your children if you aren’t willing to do it for yourself. But do it. Learn how to be a good husband and stop worrying about what a bad wife she is. When you learn to become a good husband, a man of integrity, a good father and provider and partner, then she will become a good wife.

I guarantee it.

Is it any wonder that Obama won in November, really? The public education system totally PRIMED these kids to buy into this Communism. Remember, you can spray paint a turd gold but it’s still a turd. Obama and his agenda are the turd. They just spray painted it gold prior to the 2008 election.

If you have children and you’re reading this, and you’re NOT actively checking out the ridiculous propaganda that the US public education system is calling “textbooks” today, then you are an unfit parent. So when you stop being offended by that comment, go get your child’s curriculum, copies of all the books they plan on using this school year and take a couple nights to peruse them with your spouse and your child. Feel free to point out to your kids where the propaganda is, particularly in the history books. The Communists have REWRITTEN AMERICAN HISTORY, folks, and it’s all bad.

They have taken all the bad presidents and call them “good”. They’ve taken all the good presidents and call them “bad”. They make a case for Communism, only they call it other things, like “Progressive” and/or “Social Justice”. I have news for you: “Social Justice” is COMMUNISM, people! America is about EQUAL JUSTICE! Get it? See how sly those Communists can be? Can you see how easily your kids might be misinformed? Our kids don’t realize that Communists are intentionally grooming them for a lifetime of Marxist Communism. Idealistic, hopeful, and easily fooled, children and teenagers are the easiest targets for propaganda. Our schools are supposed to PROTECT our children from misinformation, and instead, they are filling our children full of Communist propaganda, disguised as something good.

You can spray paint a turd god, but it’s still a turd. Communism, even when it’s spray painted “Social Justice”, “Progressive” or  any other color, is still a turd.
